Member management for an association
Starting situation
The client needed a new solution for the management of approx. 80'000 members of its association with different levels of membership, such as single member, group member etc. Furthermore, the system had to be able to manage the insurance services and discounts offered by the client.Concept
Management of the membership data was outsourced to Corris and the data was hosted on Corris servers. However, the association had permanent Internet access and could view, edit and modify the data at any time.Measures
- Analysis of the current and desired status.
- Recording of all requirements and derivation of the resulting processes.
- Preparation of a data concept.
- Comprehensive documentation of the data takeover and adjustment.
- Internet data access was set up for the client and the necessary evaluation options provided.

- Processing of payments, part payments, open items, returns.

Processing of the DD process for NPOs
Starting situation
The DD process is very simple and very safe for regular donors. However, the system does present a number of challenges in the daily execution. Differing booking intervals and thus due dates, modifications, return debits, upgrading and the harmonisation of contribution payments mean that individual DD agreements can have any of a wide range of statuses. Return debits create additional expense.Concept
In order to complete the DD process efficiently, Corris has developed a database solution that optimises the process sequences as well as a number of service modules.Measures
- Workflow-controlled data recording.
- System-based data checks.
- Online checks of account numbers and address plausibility.
- Automated submission process.
- System-controlled correspondence processes for bank authorisations.
- Automated follow-up procedure for bank authorisations.
- IBAN numbers determined and obtained by the system.
- Optional harmonisation of contribution collection details.
- Bank correspondence.
- Automated processing of return debits.
- Telephone research into return debits.
- Reactivation of cancellations caused by the system.
- Automated correspondence process and contribution adjustments.
Results
- Exceptionally high success rates of over 80% for first payments by new donors from street campaigns.
- In over 70% of cases, the processing of return debits resulted in a successful booking.
- Complete or partial processing of the DD transactions for 20 Swiss NPOs.
- Processing of approx. 80% of all DD transactions for NPOs in Switzerland.
Full-service even for complex tasks.
Market entry by an international NPO in Switzerland.
Starting situation
An international NPO had been working closely with an existing charity before deciding to take it over completely and integrate it in its international organisation.Concept
The Swiss charity, which had until then largely been run by volunteers, was integrated in the international organisation, and the memberships and donors transferred to it. The company built professional structures and a new office in Switzerland. International fundraising programmes were introduced. The marketing plan and fundraising strategy were developed in co-operation with a partner agency. The fundraising measures (direct mail, telephone and street campaigns) were adapted and optimised for the Swiss market. Furthermore, data hosting and the provision of data and evaluations for the international centre were secured via the Internet.Measures
- Entire project management for 24 months.
- Inclusion and co-ordination of partner agencies.
- Adaptation of the international fundraising programmes.
- Instruction of and support for new staff.
- Analysis of previous data.
- Transfer of data including documentation.
- Interface to the international head office.
Results
- Successful transfer of donor inventory.
- Successful introduction of international fundraising measures, partly with services (street campaigns, donor management, telephone), partly with partner agencies (communication, direct mail).
- Stable growth already achieved in the first few months after integration.
